District 10 Thames Valley is a non-profit organization, one of the 19 Districts that make up the Ontario Horticultural Association (OHA) known as GardenOntario. Our District spans across the Counties of Elgin, Middlesex, Oxford, Perth and Lambton Shores in Southwestern Ontario, with 20 Horticultural Societies within our borders. These Societies offer a variety of educational programs, guest speakers, garden tours, plant sales, and other events that allow members to learn more about horticulture.
Gardening Clubs or Horticultural Societies are educational volunteer organizations dedicated to increasing the knowledge and enjoyment of gardening. Our members have a passion for plants and gardening, have gardens of all sizes and shapes, from patio gardens and urban lots to country estate gardens. Members come from all walks of life, across all ages and genders, and all skill levels from youth and first time gardeners to Master Gardeners and Horticulturists. There’s something of interest for everyone!
If you want to meet new people who share your interests, encourage an interest in your children, grow your own healthy foods, learn from expert guest speakers on a wide range of topics, express your creativity in hand-on workshops and flower shows, have a commitment to preserving Ontario’s natural environment, opportunity to volunteer, and want to make the communities we live in beautiful, sustainable and livable – you’ve come to the right place! Contact the Society closest to you (see below) for information on how to join.
